Hi All

In the guide for using live (which has been an excellent resource so far). It mentions a post about selecting a song in the playlist from a MIDI trigger (e.g. note)..

The link seems to be broken.

I'm wondering if this is still possible and if so how?

cheers

Allan

(BTW for those who have seen my other posts about chaning programs and external MIDI functionality, I am now running SEQ24 for sounds outside of hydrogen - synced via jack sync)

hi,  selecting a song in the playlist from a MIDI trigger (e.g. note) is back in svn trunk. please checkout and build the latest trunk revision. than you can assign the corresponding midi action to each midi command via the midi preferences tab.

Hi ...

Just a further note to this, I've noticed with 0.9.6 that changing songs in the playlist while playing results in the new song playing without sound?? I've tried this with different jack periods (64 and 128) without success..

Is there a way to make this work??

BTW I'm running a highly optimised Gentoo with rt kernel and rtirq running .. fluxbox wm e.t.c..

Is this a bug or is there something that i need to do to make this work better?

cheers

Allan

hi..

Sorry I don't think I explained myself. I can see how to assign select next song in playlist and select previous.. however my aim is to setup a playlist of say 16 songs and then be able to jump to any of those songs (similar to selecting next pattern?)

that option is not available i'm afraid

how do the other bandmembers react when you dont follow the playlist  ;-)   or are you playing alone and want to be able to jump to a specific song depending on the reaction of the audience maybe ?
